Milan 2.0 Evacuation Rescue Device
For more than a decade, Milan has served as standard rescue equipment in many areas. The reinforced brake is controlled centrifugally. It keeps the speed constant during the entire descent and permits a quick and safe rescue. The brake shaft is mounted on ball bearings on both sides. The housing is constructed of milled aircraft grade aluminium which makes Milan 2.0 very robust. This is what allows rescue techniques such as rescue support in lattice mast structures. A seal reveals whether Milan 2.0 has been opened without authorisation. The Milan 2.0 is certified under international standards and special regulations to be used on vessels and offshore structures. Note: all models of the Milan are available in rope lengths up to 500mtrs.
The Milan 2.0 is the basic evacuation model. Simply attach the karabiner at the rope end to the harness attachment. Step off the structure and it will control the descent at 0.9mtrs per second. As the first person reaches the ground the trailing rope end ( fitted with a karabiner) allows the next person to descend in the same manner.
The Milan 2.0 HUB is equipped with a lifting function. Therefore, it is possible to lift a casualty first over a short distance to release the fasteners and then lower the person safely. the new housing design improves handling during an accompanied rescue. the superstatic 9.0 rope continues to meet this requirement with only 9mm diameter. compared to devices 10.5mm ropes, the pack size remains small when using the Milan 2.0 HUB. This is a big advantage, especially when working at great heights.
